Thames River Trip aboard Walton Monarch

RIVER TRIP 13th JUNE 2001

Members met in the free car park alongside the River Thames just up-stream from the bridge at Walton - on - Thames.

The boat Walton Monarch left the jetty at 11.30am and proceeded down stream. After Sunbury and Molesely locks, the boat passed Hampton Court and Kingston. At Teddington we turned round and returned to Walton.

A help-yourself Buffet Lunch was provided on board and as a sweet course members were served with strawberry's and cream by the Social Committee and their wives.

The on-board bar was well used by the 65 members and their wives and friends whom made up the party.

We were lucky with the weather and generally, members expressed the view that it was an enjoyable trip and look forward to a repeat next year.
